Surgical Consent

Surgical Consent’s business purpose is to provide medical professionals with an efficient and effective means to obtaining informed consent from their patients as a prerequisite to surgery or medical intervention.   The informed consent process includes the means to present the patient with all data relating to the surgical intervention, including the associated risks, post-surgery situation, and alternatives to surgery. The current system, however, is manual, paper-based, and often cumbersome. Surgical Consent’s solution to this is a downloadable consent form, which: (i) is available dynamically, through internet download; (ii) is always current, (iii) can be annotated and customised for the patient’s particular case, (iv) can be accessed by the patient at any time, via the internet, (v) can be signed by patient and doctor electronically, and securely, (vii) can be forwarded to the hospital and to the patient’s medical aid.
