PointCare Technologies Inc., now based in Boston, Massachusetts, developed a "lab in a briefcase" to meet medical diagnostic requirements anywhere in the world.  The product is a user-friendly and sensitive diagnostic instrument which can perform a wide range of tests where immediate results can significantly improve patient outcome. The first applications were in the monitoring of AIDS therapy and emergency cardiac.
