Real World Diagnostics HIV Rapid Strip Test outperforms competitor products in NHLS benchmarking exercise

Real World Diagnostics (RWD), an Acorn client, is in the business of rapid In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) test kits, and the company’s products include hCG-Pregnancy, HIV, Syphilis, and Multiple Drug test kits. Its mission is to provide high quality, efficient and effective diagnostics, and all tests are manufactured under strict ISO 13485:2003 conditions.

Recently the National Health and Laboratory Services (NHLS) evaluated the RWD HIV test for quality and performance characteristics, and the results depicted superior quality and performance characteristics to that of current test kits used by the NHLS. RWD positions itself as a manufacturer and supplier of products of the highest quality and performance, and results such as this are important when one considers the recent revelations surrounding the non-performance of certain test HIV kits supplied as part of the national tender for HIV test kits.
