Acorn Technologies merges its business with Cape Biotech Trust!

In an exciting development, Acorn Technologies has merged its business with that of Cape Biotech Trust to create a stronger presence in the life sciences sector in the Western Cape.

During 2007 the management of both organisations began investigations into the option of merging the two entities. With the support of their boards as well as their respective funders (DST and DTI), Acorn Technologies was absorbed into CBT effective from January 2008. The result is that Cape Biotech will further develop its support offering to clients and investments, by building a formal incubation function that can incorporate Acorn's incubation model, thereby incorporating the best practices of both organisations.
